This week has been quite a productive week although looking back it doesn’t feel like I have done very much as it has consisted of doing lots of little jobs.
I had three days off during the week this week which meant I could get the little jobs done that usually get put off. The biggest thing on my to do list was to get a new laptop, my old one had pretty much been used to death and I was definitely due an upgrade. Whilst I was doing this I decided to upgrade the software I use for editing videos as I was using such an outdated version.
If you are interested the laptop I picked up was the ASUS TUF FX705DY 17.3″ AMD Ryzen 5 RX 560X Gaming Laptop – 1 TB HDD & 128 GB SSD. I am definitely impressed by it particularly how fast it is. I also bought a new mouse, headset and a controller as this laptop is capable of playing games online which my previous laptop definitely wasn’t!
Once I had picked the laptop up and all of the other bits and pieces I spent the whole afternoon of my first day off setting it up which took quite while (I’m still setting up bits and pieces now!).
On Thursday I went to see my friend Rachel and her baby to have a bit of a catch up.
Then Friday I decided to have a bit of a wonder around Cardiff as I had to pick up a mouse (the computer kind not a pet!) for Marysia. Then spent the rest of the day playing some games on my laptop.
I spent the weekend working although Marysia came to see me on Saturday evening and we went to try out Slim Chickens in Cardiff which quite a few people had suggested to us. I personally thought it was really nice but a bit like an over priced KFC with some extra options for the sauces. Marysia then came to see my new laptop and also set up World of Warcraft for me, which I am yet to try out.
I also managed to sort out our tickets for Pride Cymru (which is also known as Cardiff’s Big Weekend) and I also got tickets to see Lucy Spraggan in November.
This next week is going to be busy, I have plans to get really stuck into planning my fundraising for Brighton Marathon, we are going to the Marvel S.T.A.T.I.O.N in Cardiff and we are going for dinner. Come back the same time next week to find out how the week goes!
