The story follows a famed American author, Sophie, who travels to Scotland and finds herself wanting to buy a castle, but the prickly owner, a Scottish Duke named Myles, is reluctant to sell to a foreigner. My Thoughts

This definitely falls into the category of cringey predictable Christmas movies. However it does make for very easy watching which is kind of what you want when it comes to a Christmas film.

There were some great songs paired with notable moments within the movie which I think helped me become invested in the film.

I can’t say the acting was the best however this doesn’t stop the film from being enjoyable.

I also think I need to make a special mention to the dog, who is really cute and adds a bit of cheekiness scattered throughout the film.

Netflix is becoming the new Hallmark Christmas movie specialist. I can see A Castle for Christmas becoming a guilty pleasure for many people at this time of year.
