Monday 13th December 2021
I was so motivated this morning for getting things done and being back in work. It didn’t all go to plan!
I snoozed pretty much every alarm that I had set but somehow still managed to wake up in time to ring the doctors bang on 8am to try and make an appointment. The earliest appointment that I could get was the 10th January… not ideal but I took it.
I then finally got out of bed and got dressed and made a cups of tea before setting up my work laptop. I also rang my Mum to update her about the doctors appointment before starting work.
Despite my shoulder killing I enjoyed getting back in the swing of work even though I was clock watching a bit.
This afternoon my work laptop forced itself into doing some updates and has been doing them for a while. It is like watching paint dry. One minute it seems to be going really fast and then it slows right down! What a nightmare!
I cooked and ate my dinner whilst I have been waiting for my work laptop to do its thing.
I am keeping an eye on it whilst I tick off various odd things I needed to get done.
I am hoping that I get a decent nights sleep tonight as I really want to get a ton of things done over the next few days whilst I am off work.
Tuesday 14th December 2021
Day off work today, woke up a few times in the night with my shoulder hurting when the gel wore off but all in all a much better sleep than I have been having!
It has been a day filled with odd jobs and ticking off things that have been on my to do list for a while.
Once I got up I put my washing on and had a chat with my Mum whilst having a cups of tea. I then spent a few hours writing a blog post as I am currently so close to bringing my weekly blog posts back up to date.
I had a bit of a break from doing my blog posts with a walk to the pharmacy to pick up a couple of prescriptions, it was a bit rainy but I didn’t get too wet!
Once I got back I put my washing out to dry and carried on with my blog. I had been waiting for a parcel to arrive which came in the early afternoon.
I then rang my Mum to let her know the parcel had arrived, I also wrote up mine and Marysia’s shopping list for the weekend. Once I had finished chatting with my Mum I hoovered my room and refilled the diffuser in my room ready for this evening.
Wednesday 15th December 2021
I got up and headed straight to Aldi before going in to town as I needed to get a few last things for Christmas and wanted to leave before it got too busy! I managed to get everything on my list which was a success.
I spent a bit of time doing a bit of wrapping and then chilled out for the rest of the day.
Thursday 16th December 2021
I had a very chilled morning and didn’t really do anything although I had plenty of things I could have been doing.
After a last minute decision to go to Marysia’s this evening for Christmas as opposed to on Saturday I had to run around packing and sorting myself out ready to go get the train.
Once I had filled my case and backpack I went to wait for the bus to town. It seemed to take a while to turn up and was pretty chilly!
I didn’t have to wait too long before my train arrived at the station, plus it was relatively quiet which meant it wasn’t too difficult finding somewhere for my case to go.
As Marysia was still finishing off work I didn’t rush off of the train and took my time getting out of the station before meeting her in the car park.
Once we got back to Marysia’s we had dinner which was a bit of a mix match of leftovers I brought with me and Marysia had some leftovers she had too.
Friday 17th December 2021
The day started with taking Boris for his morning walk, I always enjoy getting out in the fresh air and I find that I do it way more when I am at Marysia’s as Boris needs to go out for his walks.
My stomach was hurting a bit throughout the day and my tablets didn’t seem to hit it.
Marysia went to her work Christmas party leaving me and Boris to cwtch up and wait for my tablets to start working.
I spent most of the evening reading my book trying to ignore my stomach hurting.
Saturday 18th December 2021 – Christmas Food Shop
I woke up and had a cup of tea before we got ready to go and do the Christmas food shop. I had planned out what we needed and tried to organise the shopping list so we didn’t have to be in the shops too long.
It was a bit chilly but the sun was out and we were excited to find some treats for Christmas. Between going to Aldi and Asda we managed to get pretty much everything on our shopping list plus a few extra bits. We decided against getting the fresh vegetables we would need over Christmas and made the decision to get it a bit closer to when we need it.
Once the shopping was unpacked it was time for a bacon sandwich and another cups of tea before Boris decided he needed another walk.
After I got back from walking Boris I got cosy and watched some telly whilst Marysia played on her game.
In the evening I made us some hot chocolates which were really tasty!
Sunday 19th December 2021
Marysia was in work today so Boris became my little shadow. He even followed me to the bathroom for my morning wee!
I had my breakfast and cups of tea before taking Boris out for his walk. Even though the sun was out the ground was still a bit frosty.
Once we got back from our walk I spent a little bit of time reading my book and doing some hoovering and other bits and pieces before Marysia came home from work
